Knowing it allows us to shape change with confidence.\u201d<\/em><\/cite><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Georg\u202fGelhausen, Mayor of Merzenich<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n At the heart of the exhibition are sixteen Merzenich associations, whose exhibits collectively showcase the wide spectrum of local civic engagement. Notable examples include the St. Sebastianus Sch\u00fctzenbruderschaft Merzenich, whose roots reach back before 1531 and which continues its traditional bird shooting today with a digital air rifle range; the breakfast club \u201cMiteinander & F\u00fcreinander e.V.\u201d (\u201cTogether & For Each Other\u201d), which has been bringing generations together around a shared table since 2008, demonstrating how low-threshold initiatives create social networks; as well as the 1. At the same time, the foundation sees the building as an open place where participatory, forward-looking ideas can grow from the heart of democracy \u2013 a mindset that the Merzenich associations embody impressively.<\/p>\n While the current exhibition is running, the curatorial board is already working on Exhibition III, which will take place from October 26 to December 7, 2025, under the title \u201cEndangered Homeland \u2013 Merzenich and National Socialism.\u201d This upcoming presentation will focus on the experiences of the community during the time of the \u201cThird Reich\u201d and ask how a culture of remembrance must be shaped today to safeguard democracy and human dignity. W\u00fcrdigung des CUBITY f\u00fcr sein innovatives Konzept<\/h2>\r\nDem CUBITY wurde die Auszeichnung \u201eVorbildliche Bauten im Land Hessen 2020\" verliehen. Die renommierte Auszeichnung wird von dem Land Hessen und der Architekten- und Stadtplanerkammer Hessen auf dem Gebiet des nachhaltigen Planens und Bauens in der Preiskategorie Neubau, Auszeichnung Vorbildlicher Bauten im Land Hessen 2020, vergeben.\r\n\r\nDas Auszeichnungsverfahren \u201eVorbildliche Bauten im Land Hessen \u2013 Preis f\u00fcr Architektur und St\u00e4dtebau\u201c wird im Turnus von drei Jahren ausgelobt. Die Auszeichnung wird seit 1954 vergeben und z\u00e4hlt zu den \u00e4ltesten anerkannten Architekturpreisen in Deutschland. Die Auszeichnung hatte das CUBITY bereits im Jahr 2022 erhalten, die Plakette wurde 2024 nun offiziell \u00fcberreicht.\r\n\r\n
