On September 8, State Secretary Daniel Sieveke handed over the first funding approval notice of the Rhine Region Structural Development Program (STEP RR) to Mayor Georg Gelhausen at CUBITY. The aim is the redesign of Poolplatz in Merzenich.
On July 3, 2025, the riding stable in Bürgewald became an open ideas lab: citizens discussed guiding principles, projects, and visions for the dynamic master plan, aiming to make Bürgewald sustainable and socially connected for the future.

On 7 December 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Municipal Affairs, Building and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, RWE Power AG and the municipality of Merzenich jointly signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at the Cubity Atelier House regarding the transfer of the village of Morschenich-Alt to the municipality of Merzenich.
CUBITY receives recognition in the “Exemplary Buildings in the State of Hesse” competition and travels to North Rhine-Westphalia as a CUBITY Atelier House. The CUBITY-LivingLAB now becomes a pioneering place for knowledge transformation in the municipality of Merzenich (Dueren district).
