Around 270 visitors in one day
Last Sunday, the CUBITY Atelier House opened its doors to numerous architecture fans, who were impressed by the concept and design of CUBITY. On site, Dipl.-Ing. Markus Schmale, architect BDA and Dipl.-Ing. architect Evagelia Sardelis-Schmale gave a guided tour of the building with the team from Schmale Architects.
The motto of this year’s Architecture Day was “Architecture transforms”. Around 270 architecture fans gathered at the site of the CUBITY Atelier House in Merzenich on June 18, 2023 to explore the building from the outside and inside. Posters with detailed explanations of the idea, design, construction or the energy concept of CUBITY on the individual cubes invited visitors on a journey through the history of the CUBITY Atelier House. Dipl.-Ing. Markus Schmale, architect BDA and Dipl.-Ing. architect Evagelia Sardelis-Schmale were also on site with the Schmale Architects team to answer questions and guide visitors through the building together with Dipl.-Ing. (FH) architect Michael Mueller, architect M.Sc. Catrin Grannemann and architect B.Sc. Paul Jarosch. An illustrated book on CUBITY explained the concept of modular construction to those interested in architecture.
